This week word was circulating that Former State Representative Eddie Smith was being encouraged to seek the position of Knox County Republican Party Chairman. The only candidate Randy Pace confirmed to me today that he and Smith have talked and they both are seeking the position.

First Vice Chair Suzanne Dewar is seeking re-election as well.
