As I reported here earlier this week  a few folks in Monroe County wanted the TN Republican Party to disqualify Bryan Graves as the only opponent to the Monroe County Commission appointed Sheriff Tommy Jones. After many different forms of communication was received by the party a decision was made and TN Republican Party Chairman Ryan Haynes informed me that they will let him run.

This was a good decision by the TN Republican Party, the party should be a party of growing the party, not excluding candidates. After all Graves is a  a two tour Iraqi war veteran and Bronze star recipient, the way some Monroe Countians wanted him excluded is not what he and other veterans fought for our right as a Representative Republic form of government.
