Governor Bill Lee recently delivered his annual State of the State address, outlining a vision that builds on Tennessee’s strong record of conservative leadership, fiscal responsibility, and economic growth. The Governor highlighted continued investments in public safety, education, workforce development, infrastructure, and tax relief. Tennessee’s responsible budgeting has allowed our state to maintain a balanced budget, strengthen financial reserves, and make strategic investments without raising taxes on hardworking Tennesseans. These efforts continue to position Tennessee as one of the top states in the nation for job creation, business growth, and economic opportunity. The Governor also emphasized Tennessee’s growing leadership in advanced energy and innovation, including major investments in nuclear energy development and quantum technology research, helping secure high-quality jobs while positioning our state as a national leader in next-generation energy and technology sectors.

“It was an honor to stand behind Gov. Bill Lee for his final State of the State. His leadership has made Tennessee stronger, freer, and more prosperous. I’m grateful to call him not only my Governor, but my friend. I look forward to working together in this final year of a truly historic administration.”

Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Visits State Capitol

Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently visited the Tennessee State Capitol as of his MAHA Tour, where he met with state leaders to discuss improving public health outcomes, increasing transparency in healthcare, and expanding access to preventative care. Discussions focused on strengthening nutrition education, promoting healthier lifestyle choices, and supporting policies that encourage physical wellness and chronic disease prevention. The visit also highlighted the importance of collaboration between federal and state governments to address rising healthcare costs while improving patient outcomes and expanding access to quality care, particularly in rural communities. Tennessee continues to prioritize innovative approaches to healthcare that empower families with better information, improve long-term health outcomes, and ensure communities across the state have access to the resources needed to live healthier lives.

“It was an honor to join Secretary Kennedy in Tennessee to highlight HHS’s healthier lives movement. Tennessee is proving that conservative, patient-focused solutions can improve health outcomes and drive down costs for our communities.”
