Tomorrow is when Veterans Day is Observed. Veterans Day is when we Honor those who served and are still living. Lots of folks talk about service and Veterans, except Veterans. They never discuss it. It is what they did because of a calling or because of being drafted. They did it, came home and went back to living, working and making their families lives better.

On Friday, the Knox County Property Assessors Office surprised their boss Veteran John R. Whitehead with an impromptu recognition including treats.

Whitehead served during the Vietnam War. Thank you John!
