WBIR has a story today about Glen “Kane” Jacobs mulling a run for Knox Co Mayor in 2018. I presume that it was needed by Jacobs supporters to float out the name after Knox Co at Large Commissioner Bob Thomas announced about 12 days ago.

This isn’t the first time Jacobs has gotten the bug to run. The rumor of Jacobs challenging Senator Lamar Allexander was floated on the Ed & Bob radio show back in 2013. There is a rumor or two for why the then Jeffferson County resident did not challenge Alexander, but the bottom line is the wrestler didn’t run aka “chickening out”.

Since then Jacobs has moved to Knox Co., opened by an insurance agency. So, it seems the Jesse Ventura bug hasn’t run its course. We will see if Jacobs is serious or if it is just play like wrestling.
