We are pleased to welcome the Campaign of Rick Staples for 1st District Knox County Commissioner as an advertiser. The 1st district is primarily East Knoxville. Staples is being challenged in the March 1, 2016 Democrat Primary, Early Voting is from February 10 – 23, 2016.

Staples is a Member of the Knoxville Fraternal Order of Police;  he serves as Vice Chairman on the Education Committee and a Member of the Youth Council of the  Knoxville District Baptist Association; He served as a Member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Working Group and Neighborhood and Housing Working Group of PlanET; Staples is Vice President 100 Black Men of Greater Knoxville, Inc.;  a Member of C.C. Russell Masonic Lodge 262; a Board Member of S.M.A.R.T. Institute which Services Vine Middle and Austin East Magnet High.
