Just received the resignation of Steve Weiner, the Vice Treasurer of the Knox County Republican Party. Weiner announced his candidacy for General Sessions Judge Division IV, opposing Judge Tony Stansberry in the May 3, 2022 Republican Primary. In doing so, he must and has resigned from his position with the Knox County party and the West Knoxville Republican Club.
