Eric Lutton is running for Knox County Public Defender in the Republican Primary on March 3, 2020, Early Voting February 12-25.

Lutton was appointed by TN Governor Bill Lee to become the Public Defender on October 31, 2019, when Mark Stephens retired. The election in 2020 is for the remainder of Stephens term.

Lutton has been in the Public Defenders office and served as the number two man to Stephens before being selected by the Governor.

Lutton is married and has two daughters.
