The League of Women Voters Knoxville Knox County host candidate forums. For sometime people on my side of partisan politics have been avoiding the forums, these events are not debates. The candidates have used the excuse that the organizations that co sponsor the forums are liberal, that is just an excuse.

This year, Republican Will Edwards was the first Republican to join a forum during the Knox County Primary election cycle. During the Summer, Republicans Gina Oster, Rhonda Lee and Kim Frazier joined a forum during the Knox County General Election election cycle.

State Senator Dr. Richard Briggs joined his opponent recently during a LWV Knox and Knox County forum. You can watch it here.

The forum last week with all the State House candidates Republican Rep. David Wright joined other candidates that attended that forum.

I have had a candidate this election that asked me to get the opponent on my podcast first. I did it and the candidate came up with other excuses which I told the candidate exactly why they changed the goal line and that is fine. Some people are leaders and some are followers. I prefer non followers.
