When the School Board Resembles a Kindergarten Class Before Nap Time?

Are you old enough to remember back when Kindergarten had nap time? Well, during the short board meeting to select Knox County‘s new Superintendent of Schools. One board member acted like the one kid that needed nap time 45 minutes ago. Mike McMillan who has made it obvious during meetings that he doesn’t care for Jennifer Owen and Daniel Watson. Always challenging them, Watson beat McMillan’s pal former County Commissioner/School Board Member Tony Norman. McMillan didn’t like Owen’s “neither” vote. During his temper tantrum, he alleged they all knew what they were going to do.

Fortunately, Owen proved to be the better person and saying she would leave her vote as it was. Watson just ignored McMillan. Board Member Virginia Babb quickly went to the cubby and grabbed McMillan’s blankie and explained what she believed the intent was in wanting a unity vote.

All is well………or will be now that the meeting is adjourned.
