The E-911 board did not vote on a motion made by Mayor Burchett’s designee the other day. Now WBIR has quotes from Hugh Holt, Knox County’s Purchasing Director suggesting the motion was not seconded or voted on by the 11 member board because of some “political” reason. The Mayor’s Purchasing Staff worked on this for 18 months. Is the Mayor not willing to stand up for jus staffs work?

The follow-up question is where was Mayor Burchett? A ribbon cutting? Did he know that his motion would not be seconded and pass and instead of being embarrassed, he opted to hide somewhere?
