At the Powell Auction bologna cutting on Thursday, Knox County Commissioner at Large Bob Thomas who is one of three candidates for Knox County Mayor in 2018 had the prominent support of former Knox County Property Assessor Phillip Ballard and his wife Cindy.

Ballard left office before September 1, 2016 when his chief deputy Jim Weaver was beaten on March 1, 2016 in the Republican Primary by now Knox County Property Assessor John Whitehead.

No word on whether Thomas is comfortable with the support of Ballard or not.
