Employees in the Knox County Clerk Office wonder why Foster Arnett is MANDATING that their $5 donation (for wearing blue jeans) going to the Knoxville News Sentinel’s Empty Stocking Fund. If employees want to wear blue jeans to work, they are REQUIRED to give $5 to the Knoxville News Sentinel’s Empty Stocking Fund. There are many non profit organizations, churches, fraternal organizations that do great things to help those less fortunate during Christmas. KARM (Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries) with the Thanksgiving meal, Water Angels with shoes and clothes and toys for the homeless, Coats for the Cold, Shop With a Cop, U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots, Operation Shoe Box to name a few.

But, Arnett insist, he mandates the Knoxville News Sentinel Empty Stocking Fund. Why? Because he is the President of the Knoxville News Sentinel’s Charities, Inc Board. I am sure there will be a photo-op of Arnett with a BIG fake check giving it to himself for the Empty Stocking Fund. Cameras and Arnett, he is rumored to have a fascination with cameras. He has had cameras installed in every satellite office of the Clerk and he is rumored to watch employees for the better part of most days.

Let the employees decide where there $5 go to help the needy.
