Yesterday, a couple employees resigned from the Knox County Mayor’s Office. Today, the News Sentinel reveals that it involved an employee drinking an adult beverage.
This reveals that Knox County does not have a consistent policy.
The Property Assessors Office had an employee that was arrested for a DUI in a county vehicle on Watt Road. That employee remained employed in the Assessors office and was transferred to the Trustee’s Office where I believe he still is employed.
The Knox County School District had a Contract Administrator arrested for a DUI over in East Knoxville and he is still employed.
Where is the consistency? Oh yeah! It is the Deathstar and County Government. How dare I point out the inconsistency!
