In reviewing the financial disclosures of interim State Rep. Jason Zachary and his August 12, 2015 Republican opponent Karen Carson. A couple entries have raised eyebrows,  his treasurer paid himself $1,000 additionally paid the campaign coordinator Susan Horn $500 for “campaign workers”. In my 33 years of Republican activism and 11 plus years of researching and publishing investigative independent journalism I’ve not seen this scenario before. When campaigns pay campaign workers they do so with individual checks or at leastbindividual line item entries on the financial disclosures, not the use of a middle man (woman). Additionally, the report shows another $500 to  woman for campaign workers and then on contributions the woman gave the $500 back. What happened?

Is this a rookie oversight or an intentional shell game? We may never know, because Zachary has made the comment that he will not respond to requests for news stories, because it is his prerogative, he has said. That is cool, here is an app created by another journalist. Eyes will be watching him when the legislature begins Tuesday, if he chooses not to have his three cents, then he will be what his actions, his floor words and votes say.
