On August 13, 2025 the daily papers reporter finally reported in the 2nd Quarter disclosures due July 10, 2025. Read my post about the daily papers late posting here. Of course the reporter has an extensive Democrat voting record and she sits at debate functions with the Democrat campaign managers, especially the one the Knox County Republican Party held.

Treasurer Notes
Treasurer Chrissy Stephens serves as the treasurer for Becky Jones (District One), Melody Watts (District Two), and Doug Lloyd (District Three). All three candidates filed their disclosures one day late on August 20, 2025, at 5:14 a.m. (Jones) and 5:15 a.m. (Watts and Lloyd). Stephens was paid as a “campaign worker” in July:
- $425 by Jones
- $425 by Watts
- $175 by Lloyd (on July 29)
Total: $1,025
Stephens has been the treasurer for Knox County Commission Chair Gina Oster since 2022. Recently, Oster changed treasurers, and Stephens promptly took on the role for Oster’s opponent in the 2026 Knox County races. This shift suggests a potential change in loyalty after four years of service to Oster, raising questions about the dynamics as the 2026 races begin.
